We would like to thank all our customers for their support over the last 12 years but times change and so has the car styling market. It has declined to such an extend that it is no longer viable for us.
We have enjoyed help create some of the most radical and different cars in the moddin' scene and meeting lots of you at the Max Power shows each year.
One of our favorite projects was a MK5 Fiesta we built for a customer named Danny. This car had new bumpers, side skirts, bonnet scoops and spoilers underneath. She had two sets of neons, tail lights were converted to Lexus style and Angel Eye headlights at the front. Inside was a full sound system with displays in the headrests and displays in the dash - remember this was 10 years ago when all this was ground breaking technology the car was shown at many car events and has featured in many mags including Fast Car and Max Power.
Danny is still a friend to this day although the car has now moved on to a new owner, we remember the new paint finishes at the time - colour changing carnelian that would change from metallic green to red, purple and blue depending on the angle you viewed it.
Who could forget those "bad boy" exhausts - the most we ever fitted to a car was a 2002 Saxo that had 6x 6" boxes across the back... it looked like a Saturn Five rocket ready for take off. Those were the days of extreme and going just that little bit over the top: happy days.
As they say nothing lasts forever and the time has come for us to say goodbye. Thanks again for all of your support over the years.
From all the team at Essex Racing.
Although nothing to do with the moddin' scene, classic cars have been a great interest to all of us over the years and with one of the staff owning an early Mustang, we would like to recommend a local specialist catering for all classic Ford Mustangs from 1964-1973. These guys can sell you a car, service your existing car and supply spare parts all under one roof. So if you need anything to do with early Mustangs, jump over to Essex Mustang Centre by clicking here.
